Recall Games

A strong recall isn’t only about what happens when you use your recall cue.

It’s much easier to call your dog back when they already have a habit of keeping an eye on you, enjoying interacting with you, choosing to stay reasonably close and being able to turn away from something interesting and reconnect with you.

That’s what these games are designed to build.

Different games work on different parts of that picture. Some encourage your dog to pay more attention to you, some make staying close more rewarding, and others help them practise turning away from distractions and coming back towards you.

Together, these skills form the foundations of a successful recall.

Use the games alongside your recall training and start incorporating them into your normal walks. You don’t need to play every game or work through them in a particular order.
